Teams have to confirm their participation by paying the ICPC Kharagpur OnsiteContest Registration Fee of Rs. 5000 (Rupees Five Thousand only) per team through NEFT or any online mode of transfer and sending the payment receipt before Nov. 15, 2019 to acm.icpc@iitkgp.ac.in. Please do not forget to mention your team name in the mail

Kharagpur is known all over the world for two landmarks. First it's the longest railway platform and other is Indian Institute of Technology.
Situated about 120 km west of Kolkata, Kharagpur can be reached in about 2 hours by train from Howrah railway station of Kolkata or 3 hours by car from Kolkata Airport. Kharagpur is also connected by direct train services to most major cities of the country. The Institute is about 10 minutes' drive (5 km) from the Kharagpur railway station. Private taxi, auto rickshaw or cycle-rickshaw can be hired to reach the Institute.

Cycle rickshaw from Kharagpur Railway station to IIT campus: Approx. Rs.70
Taxi charge from Kolkata airport to IIT campus: Approx. Rs.2600


Winter (October to February) is moderate and pleasant (10 to 25 C) in Kharagpur. Summer (March to June) is hot (25 to 40 C) and sometimes humid. Rains are normally confined to the months of June to September.


Guest houses have regular catering facilities. Other eating places are Cafe Coffee day, Baskin Robbins, Sahara, Dreamland, Vegies, Tikka, Billoo's Restaurant etc. Some eateries located within the Institute premises serve tea, coffee, soft drinks and light snacks.
